Pr. Joseph C C Testimony I was a Roman Catholic It was in the year 1969, my daughter died in my hands ,on the fourth day after we arrived home at Kerala. I had to carry the body of our daughter alone for about four hours. No one was with me, that night, and I had to walk a long way alone to reach home. During that few hours I asked many questions to my God. I could not cry even, on the way to home, or at home, as my wife is a Bengali and did not know Malayalam, and no one was there at home to talk to her in a language which she can understand except me. That one week I read the Bible, a Catholic Bible, translated by Manni Kathanar, a very good Bible, which I wanted to take with me, but my parents did not allow. And after a week, me and my wife went back to Calcutta, but I was troubled, and wanted to have a Bible to read. After almost a year, one Friday afternoon, after my office work, I went to the Bible Society Building at Chowrangee Road to buy a Bible. But I could n

Memories May 17, 2015 · While in the early days at Giffard Memorial Hospital, Nuzvid, A.P., one evening I got an emergency call from OR. There was an infrequent ocular trauma case. When I entered the OR, a boy of about 5 years was draped and only his eyes were visible. To my dismay, it was a case of penetrating injury. The anterior chamber of the eye (AC) was flat with iris prolapse. In those days even in CMCH they did not suture but just had to be satisfied with a pressure bandage. Fortunately, I had a simple operating microscope brought by the late Dr John C Abraham from the USA along with some fine sutures. I noticed that the anaesthesiologist was quite depressed and grumpy and did not say a word. Perhaps he had a busy day seeing the general medical cases in the OPD. This was his daily routine and then on call 24 X 7. However, a more difficult decision was whether the good eye would be affected with sympathetic ophthalmia, a condition were the good eye developed severe autoim

May 16 at 2:54 PM · Gordon Christo ...Here is my story Ronnie. One afternoon when I was alone I felt myself being pulled out to the open sea. It was a rip current. I tried to put my feet down on the sand, but I was already beyond my depth. I didn't panic knowing I was a strong swimmer and so I stroked myself forward for a couple of minutes and reached for the ground, but there was no ground.I repeated it, but realized I was being sucked out ward. There was nothing I could do but reach out to God .......... Like so many who have grown up in Adventist homes I lacked the conversion that others experience when they encounter Jesus for the first time. But we have our dramatic moments too. Mine came in the summer of 1966. Dad was conducting an evangelistic series in Goa with a group of Spicer students that included the SMC quartet. I was 15 years old and in the ISC class. It was summer vacation for us his children. Our accommodation for Pas

Pastor Joseph C C continues his testimony My wife is ANITA, she was a good embroider. I met her accidently . After almost a year I wrote to my Parents, and with their permission and blessings I married her at Calcutta , and the next day, we went to home to Kerala . She was 16 and I was 22 and it was in the year 1968 May 6. She was a CNI Church Member and was converted to Catholic Church, Marriage was solemnized by Fr. Daniel OC at CIT road Fathima Church After we became Adventists we did not have any problem to keep SABBATH, because my office worked only five days a week – Monday to Friday. I was working as a purchase assistant in IPL Ltd. (of Birla Brothers) at 20th floor of “industry house” 1 0 Camec Street. about 1 KM from Park Street. So I was able to go to Church directly from my office I remember that time Mr.& Mrs. Macenzee was starting a school. Back To Earth “What is your problem?”, he asked me .I could hardly speak. I wrote a few words on a piece of paper on his table. Then I passed out. That Sabbath morning, as I descended the stairs from my Bhimavaram flat, I noticed something unusual. But I did not pay much attention and drove alone to Flaiz Adventist College, where I usually worship. On most Sabbath, I picked up Mr and Mrs Johnson Choppala from nearby As usual I had my cameras ready and took the footage of the services. Being very engrossed in my hobby, there was no hint that something unusual would happen. However, by the time Church service was over, I knew I could not go on any longer. Quickly Wellingson Meitei Leishangthem and I went to Narsapur Christian Hospital. It was closed. We were wondering where next to go. Willy phoned Mr Sangeeth Luke for another hospital or clinic. We went to that place and found out that the clinic was for children. We asked the doctor if there was any clinic

My Conversion Story Spiritual Journey of Borna Das from Kolkata (CMC Vellore graduate) My Family Background My family is a very strong Hindu family. So, from my childhood itself I was much interested in reading scriptures. I always used to carry a small Gita in my bag and used to read in my free time. I finished many scriptures even when I was just in high school. And as I kept reading, I always used to ask questions. But as in Hinduism, like many other religions, women are supposed to be inferior to men and they are not supposed to ask many questions. Whenever I asked questions, I got a reply saying " why can't you just believe/ you don't have faith/ you are not supposed to ask many questions ". My Search for God So that was my childhood. I remember I used to read not just about Hindu books, I also read Quran, read about other forms of religious beliefs and different spiritualisms. But as I kept asking questions, and never really got any answer,

The Fourth Day There is something strange about this day. Some people get crazy because of this day. However, we, students and staff during our “Golden Age of SDA at CMC Vellore”, looked forward to this day. Adequate planning is needed to make the maximum use of this day. There are many places to go and the logistics has to be spot on, especially the food from the hostels. One choice is the Amirthi Forest , a sanctuary almost equal to the Amazon rain forest, where during the day, the bright sun is blocked by the branches and leaves of the forest trees.(not in size though) We preferred to hike all night on the fourth day and spend the next day playing games and cooling our legs in the small stream that meandered through the forest. But this choice is a once in a lifetime adventure. Another imposing choice is to climb Mount Kailash . For this we had to travel by bus to the base of the mountain and it takes the whole day to climb. We then rested the nigh
