Gustave Doré was born in Strasbourg on 6 January 1832. He
is known for Painting, etching,
illustrations. In 1853
Doré was asked to illustrate the works of Lord Byron. This commission was
followed by additional work for British publishers, including a new illustrated
Bible,
a copy of which Janos has.
Janos says at one time while Dore was travelling, he lost
his passport. Then when crossing the border, he was questioned by the
authorities as to who he was.” I am Gustave Dore”, he said. He was given a
piece of paper and some painting materials and was asked to produce some
drawings. Within about 15 minutes, he showed his painting and the authorities
were convinced who he was. Likewise, our spiritual imprints matter.
